We hold seven lectures a year, from September to April, on Thursday evenings, either online (2020-21), or from 6.15pm (talk 7-8pm, with a short Q&A afterwards) at AKS Lytham, Clifton Drive South, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, FY8 1DT. Tickets do not normally need to be pre-booked and are available on the door for £5 (free to members).

Please click on the links underneath the ‘Lectures’ heading to view our previous lecture series and the current exciting programme for 2020-21.

This year we will take a tour around the ancient Mediterranean, escaping from the heart of the Labyrinth and the ‘hot gates’ of Thermopylae, spending time with Roman soldiers and Greek doctors, viewing a clash of empires with Ben Kane, unravelling pattern and chaos with Charlotte Higgins, and getting to grips with Greek democracy with our President Professor Michael Scott. We hope there is something to interest everyone!
